Why the office is a great place to work
As we all start working in the office, there are some perks to this position that we may have forgotten over the last year. Working from home, not having to wear real pants, not having to find your keys, and not having to get up more than 5 minutes before your day starts. These are all perks we love. However, despite those perks to working from home, there are some awesome benefits and reasons why the office is a great place to work.
Working with others helps to blossom ideas. When you are struggling you can always bounce ideas off others. And even get help by simply just having a conversation. It is also easier for you to step in and offer a helping hand. As well as helping solve a problem or problems in the workplace. When you are in the office you may see the signs that someone is struggling or have that brief conversation with someone that may help spark ideas.
Working in the office helps to build company culture. When you are working in the office you spend a lot of valuable time with your co-workers. The social foundation also helps to make people feel comfortable sharing ideas. Which also will help lead to more creative content.
Work-Life Balance
Working in the office helps to build a work-life balance as well. When you are working from home, it can become a place you work. However, it can morph into that rather than a place that you rest and spend time with family. One of our recruiters said it’s nice to just separate home and work. This is due to the fact that it can be hard to have the distractions that your house brings. Dogs running around, dishes to be done and a ton of other things can be distracting. Whereas at work you do not have all of those outside distractions.
While working from home, it can be difficult to self-motivate. It may not be the case for everyone. But for a lot of people, it can be hard to do so! Working in the office can be more motivational with competitions and comradery.
As we all start moving back to working in the office, I would just encourage you to think of all the positive things that come along with it. Hearing other ideas, building relationships, maintaining a work-life balance, and motivation among many other reasons are all great reasons that the office is a great place to work.
